Many rides at Disney Parks sell pictures that are taken while you are on the ride. This service is fun and can give you lots of great memories from your vacation. Here are some tips for buying a ride picture.
1. If you plan on purchasing a photo try gather your group so you don't have random people sitting in your party. Also, make a plan as to who will do what when the photo is taken, so no ones head gets blocked.
2. You do not need to buy your photo. You can take a picture of your photo with your camera. Most photo check locations are immediately outside the ride and Cast Members will not stop you from taking your picture with your camera.
Above is a photo purchased from the Tower of Terror ride. This photo probably cost $20. Below is a picture taken by our camera. If you are just wanting a memory, this is a great way to enjoy your trip without spending any money.
3. Do not hide your head in the picture or you will not be allowed to buy it. (We learned this one the hard way.)4. If you ride Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters you don't need to buy your photo. Disney will allow you to email it to yourself free of charge. You can then download the photo to your computer.
5. The only location that is not ideal for taking pictures of your ride photo is California Screamin'. The sunlight hits the tv viewing area making it difficult to snap your picture. Our Photo Disney's Photo
6. Even if you have seen your photo a million times it is still fun to stop and check out what face you are making. This is a perfect opportunity to snap a shot that will last a lifetime.
