One of the most fun souvenirs to buy at the park is the Mr. Potato Head with Disney pieces. Engine Ears Toys in California Adventure is where you can find a display for Mr. Potato Head pieces that are both traditional and Disney related.
Here are some tips on how to save some money and make the most of your purchase.
- They sell the Mr. Potato Head 'heads' at the store. Do not purchase it here. You must fit all your pieces in a small box and the head takes up too much room. It is a traditional size head so you can purchase it outside the park. Also, do not purchase the traditional items (ears, nose, mouth, eyes). Those all come with the purchase outside the park. Make sure to purchase the hands. Those are not standard and you will need Disney hands which allow things to be held.
- Pack your box with a lot of thought. This can be a little tricky. Take a lot of time making sure you have all the pieces you want and don't be afraid to reach up into the bins to find something you are not seeing in your eye sight. Above are all the items we were able to fit into one box.
- All boxes cost the same. Check with the store clerk for current prices. At posting the cost is $19.95. Items are not sold individually.
- Have fun! This is one item that will last a very long time and will always remind you of your trip the the "Happiest Place on Earth."
